I don't want the next podcast episode to autoplay when the one I'm listening to ends.

It's an incredibly annoying feature that iTunes automatically begins playing the next podcast when the episode I'm listening to ends. I just want to play one episode at a time without having to make a playlist with only one episode on it. Is there a way to do this? If not... why not? Seems like an incredibly easy fix by apple to make.
