Q: iOS 9.2.1 dictionaries

9.2.1 upgrade has blocked my dictionaries. I can only use the Spanish dictionary when reading in English not the English or any other language dictionary. I have tried to delete the dictionaries I had already prior to the  upgrade but the slide button for delete is missing. Please help.

    Hi ev 16,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue with your iPad after a recent update. If you are having issues changing dictionaries, you may want to see if you can change your keyboard layout (even temporarily), as that should change the associated dictionary as noted in the following article:

    Customize your keyboard

Unlike physical keyboards, you can change the format of a software keyboard. This will also change the dictionary used for auto-correction, the number of letters on the keyboard, and the arrangement of the keys (for languages with alternative keyboard layouts). The language of the keyboard also determines the language of the dictionary used for predictive text.

Get help with the keyboard on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

    Regards

Have you tried doing Define in various different apps, such as iBooks, Notes, Mail, Safari?  Sometimes one of them will unblock the problem.
