Q: Ipod Touch not syncing exactly with Itunes.

My brand new (just 3 months old) Ipod Touch does not sync exactly to my Itunes.   When I try to drag a playlist from my Itunes to the Ipod Touch it says it's there.  What is shown in my IPOD Touch in the computer is not what is shown on my actual IPOD Touch, i.e. all the playlists on my Itunes and supposedly on my Ipod Touch do not show up in my IPOD touch.

    Try:

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Unsync/delete all music and resync

To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music

    - Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    - Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Did not work at all.  Now all that is on my IPOD touch is the Purchased playlist.  The same Playlists are there but no music in them now.  Plus my entire list of playlists in itunes is still not on my IPOD touch.  I have synced at least 10 times on itunes with my device.  Nothing is syncing except the Purchased playlist.

If you're using Sync, then you cannot drag playlists to the iPod.

When using Sync, look on the Device/Music pane and choose an option; such as Sync All Music or Sync Selected Playlists, Artists etc.

    • If you have already chosen Sync Selected Playlists, then make sure you have selected some of those playlists (etc.) to actually Sync.
    • Upon connecting your iPod to your iTunes Library, the Sync may have already taken place by the time you change the option, so I suggest you click on Sync to ensure that your choice has taken effect.
