My Mac Book Pro not been restarting or waking up properly. Often times taking hours to wake up. I finally have my MacBook Pro "awake" but it is not recognizing any external displays that I have connected.
Apple TV, Mac OS X (10.5.2), Also have a Mac MINI and 2 MacBookPros
It appears that you have problems in addition to the monitors not being detected that should be addressed first.
Start with SMC and NVRAM resets:
