Use iMac with bootcamp as display monitor

Dear community,

Currently I use my windows desktop pc, and I would like to use my iMac (24-inch late 2010) as a second monitor. The iMac runs on bootcamp and the apple partition is unfortunately broken. That means that I can only use windows on my iMac. Now I want to use the iMac as my second monitor. What cable do I have to buy for it to work? And how can I use the target mode on windows (can't enter my Mac partition...)? I am a bit worried about buying the wrong cables. If anyone knows how to fix this issue, I would really appreciate your help!

In OS X you could use ScreenRecycler

Sorry I do not use or run windows, so I do not know if it will work or if there is something like ScreenRecycler for windows.

Just to add, Apple hasn't made a 24" iMac since early 2009 and it doesn't support TDM even Mac to Mac.

you can use avartron air display it let me use my iPad and iPhone as second display for my iMac in both OS X and when I bootcamp into windows

as far as I can see on their site then it would let a windows or mac running the software act as second display too

though it being over the network you should likely not expect gaming 3d performance to be great
