Q: Burn Osx into 2 discs

Hi,

          I want to ask you that is it possible to burn el capitan.iso into 2 separate discs, If possible can you provide me steps how to do it.

    splitting an ISO to 2 DVDs for the installer would create an unusable ISO and I'm not sure you can split an ISO without some other tool to recombine them.

    If you need this as an installer two DVD's won't work, the installer needs to be resident on whatever device you are installing from as a single file and there is no built in functionality for the installer to "ask for second disk." or the 2nd disk would have the files in order that the installer needed them without switching between the two constantly if it did work.


    Create an installer on a USB flash drive instead as apple provides the instructions to do so here.

    If you absolutely wanted to create a bootable DVD instead of a USB device then you would need a dual-layer disc to have the size needed for the OS X installer.
