my iPhone stopped updating mail 6 days ago

After working fine, my iPhone stopped getting new mail 6 days ago, and somehow thinks that's OK. I get the message "last updated Sunday" after it "searches" even though today is Friday. No error messages.

I'm missing my gmail mail and my work mail (exchange) even though I did not change any passwords. I even re-entered the passwords now just in case there was a glitch from the gods, and it still won't get any new mail.
