SUMIF using a text condition

Hello folks. I am trying to use a conditional; SUMIF function in Numbers 3.6.1. OSX Yosemite. I have a spreadsheet with a range of values such as *health", 'Industry" etc and against each one is a % value. I am used to the approach of sumif ((range with condition) (condition - e.g. =health) (range of values)). I can only find guidance on using numerical or YES/NO type binary conditions in the Apple help.

much thanks

Glad it worked. Note that you can put the wildcard in front too if, say, "health" is in the middle of a string (text) and not at the beginning. You always need the quotes around a string in a formula; otherwise Numbers can get confused and think it's the name of a table or something else. Thanks for the green tick!
