Can't access Disc Utilities to restore 2007 MacBook with OS X install DVD
Hey all,
I have a 2007 MacBook I want to do a factory restore on. I have the original install DVD. After inserting the disc, clicking Restart, and holding the C button, I'm able to select a language. After, as it goes to the installer, it says I can't install OS X on the computer. It will only allow me to restart using Time Machine or regular restart. It will not allow me to select Disk Utility from the Utilities tab in the Menu bar, so I can't erase the hard drive. Here is what the window says:
Mac OS X can't be installed on this computer.
If you want to restoreyour system from a Time Machine backup, click "Restore from Back Up"
Restore From Back Up Restart
Any suggestions?
This MacBook runs Mac OS X 10.5.8
Thank you!
