Q: Facing issue in MS Office 2016! Is it recommended to get support from third party tech support provider?
Office 2016 that I use on my MacBook Pro has turned into a nightmare. The search option in the suite is not working the way it should, making it difficult for me to find out the required mails quickly. Any search that I make leads to “no results” outcome despite of my emails being present in the mail box. Since my mac warranty has expired, I am confused about the best possible way to get the issue resolved as soon as possible. Should I contact Apple and renew the support subscription or should I go with an external tech support provider as Apple might not support MS products?

I use MS Office 2016 for Mac, as a productivity suite. It possesses Outlook desktop email client that provides a search option for users to quickly find out a particular mail by putting in specific keywords like as the name of the sender, subject, date, etc. in the search box. Earlier the feature was working quite well, but now any search that I make leads to failure.
Deal with this problem first:
Start here:
Spotlight: How to re-index folders or volumes - Apple Support
This tells you how to recreate your Spotlight Index. If that fails then this

has things that might help and are worth trying.
Once you have the Outlook searching fixed see if this
Additionally, the Mac does not respond the same way as before. It reacts quite sluggishly whenever commanded for any task.
is still an issue.
