Problem iMac 27inch late 2012 turn off randomly

Hi, my iMac shuts down randomly for no reason. I try to turn it on and don't works. Now unplug the socket for a few minutes and the iMac magically turns on again. I encountered this problem for some time and also some stains on the screen. I have reported this issue to Apple and they replaced the screen even if out of warranty and they did all the hardware-test possible and left on for several days and found no shutdown. They have specified that maybe it's a software problem. The iMac is connected to an APC UPS and thought that was the problem, but even excluding the ups the problem recurs. I enclose the etrecheck-report as a discussion from ditocura https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6832695?start=0&tstart=0 .

If anyone has an idea what might be and how to fix this problem would be grateful!

Thanks, Alessandro

Feb 2, 2016 3:12 PM in response to SeaPapp

From the console i have this report:

Feb 2 19:56:39 localhost kernel[0]: Previous shutdown cause: 5

Feb 2 22:13:22 localhost kernel[0]: Previous shutdown cause: 0

and this from 30 January

Jan 30 11:36:13 localhost kernel[0]: Previous shutdown cause: 5

Jan 30 16:05:38 iMac-di-Alessandro kernel[0]: Previous shutdown cause: 0

In this case iMac shuts down randomly for no apparent reason the cause can be do to a defect power cord or a defective power supply.

Now i gonna try to change the power cord and hope is it.
