Can you provide a little more information about your issue? What applications or processes are you running when you experience the issue with your fan and battery? The Activity Monitor application can provide you with some basic information.

The battery runs out quickly if the fan is running. I would suggest you try a SMC reset, it's the system that controls the fan. Sometimes there's a confusion and it needs to be reseted. The MacBook Air of a friend had the same problem. It didn't show anything unusual in Activity Monitor. I would suggest doing it, it takes a couple of seconds and does no harm to your Mac or the files on the hard drive.
