Find my iPhone sound is too quiet on iPad mini 3

I have several iPads, iPods and iPhones and they are all very loud when I'm using the "Find my iPhone" app. I have one iPad Mini 3 that is very very quiet. I can barely hear it when it's sitting right next to me if I use the "Play Sound" feature. I've checked under Settings > Sounds and I have put the slider to the very top limit, and it hasn't affected how quiet that sound is. I checked it against my other iPads, iPods, and iPhones and this one is definitely too quiet. Does anyone know how to adjust the sound so that I can hear the iPad Mini 3 and actually find it when I need it? Thanks.

The only thing that comes to mind would be the volume limiter. Go to Settings>Music and then scroll down to playback and check Volume Limit and see if it is on. I would not know of any other setting that would restrict the sound. You say that you checked on volume being all the way up, that was the ringtone, but did you check the volume when music was playing? Could you test that, turn it all the way up as well, and then try sending the locate sound?
