Invalid password when trying to connect to 5Ghz band for my router

Whenever I try to connect to the 5Ghz wifi from the wifi icon in the menu bar, it just tells me "the network could not be joined";

If I try to join it by "assist me," it keeps telling me the password is not right even though I made sure that it was correct.


I have checked that the channels are valid and the computer support 5Ghz frequency.


I have a NETGEAR R6200v2 router;

and a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2).
