'Photos' - Live Photos Filter or Smart Album setup to find ???

Hi All,

On occasion I take 'live photos' with my iPhone 6S. These are imported into 'Photos' as a movie. I use the 'Smart Album' filters / presets in Photos heavily to create groups of photos. 2015 Photos / 2015 movies etc.

Currently they are appearing in my 'Movies' smart album as they are a movie format. The limitation appears to be the number relevant smart album filter parameters that can be assigned, there is no filter / parameter for :

a. 'Photo is a Live Photo'.

b. 'Resolution is .... '

c. 'Size of file is .... '

d. 'Length of movie is ... '

Is there a simple preset that will allow me to filter for only the 'live photos'?

Matt, I don't have an iPhone 6, so I cannot check, what might be different for Life Photos. Is the filename extension different from the the extension of the other videos? Then use a "Text is ...." rule to find your Life Photos.

1 - you need to update as El Captain as starters - what ever support is or will be available will be in the current software not Yosemite

2 - I do not have an iPhone 6 so have no experience but I believe that I's heard that the next version of El Captain (OS X 10.11.4) will have better support for live photos

3 - the last I remember from these forums for released software was that you have to do a USB download rather than iTune Sync or iCloud Photo Library download in order for live photos to work
