scarlett 2i4 audio glitches with El Capitan. why is this?

I just bought a Scarlett 2i4 audio interface. It worked fine, after registration. I installed the plug-ins, just in case, restarted my mac and plugged in the 2i4. It worked great for an hour. When I tried using it again, there's audio glitches and the backlights keep flickering randomly. I checked the website for customer service and it was posted, that I should try the Class Complaint Mode, which I did. The problem still persists. Why is this happening and what can I do to rectify this?
