How do I recover my Adobe Serial number?

I performed a complete fresh install of El Capitan after a few issues. Although I have solved the problems that I was having I have lost my Adobe CS5.5 serial number. Adobe say that they can not help, so I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to recover the serial number from a Time Machine backup?

This article is the best answer I have found so far:

To access "Library" Folder from your Time Machine backup (it is hidden by default, and the "Go to" option to access the regular "Library" folder in Finder doesn't work in Time Machine) : http://superuser.com/questions/322497/how-to-recover-file-from-hidden-directory- with-time-machine

Good Luck
