heeeelp. can't output digital video. I´m on HDMI. Apple keeps downloading thunderbolt Firmware Update 1.2 and it won´t install. Describes: error 14:Not Found. Hardware issue ? WOULD REINSTALLING EL CAPITAN SOLVE THE MATTER?. ERASING OR REWRITING. THANKS

- If it is repairable reinstall the OSX

- If you do not have a backup use disk utility to restore the internal disk to an external disk so you can try to recover data.
Then format the startup disk and do a fresh install of OSX
Yu can also update to EC if you want

Hi Lemach, I have exactly the same problem. Mac mini late 2012. All re-install El Capitan. Still ask me to make thunderbolt 1.2 update, when I do it, I have this error. Did everything (re format, re-instal, SMS and PRAM...)Only this problem which break my Thunderbolt connection. did you find a solution ?
