Q: Display does not sleep on Battery Mode

I just did the latest update to El Capitan 10.11.3, am not sure if that is the problem or not, but my Macbook Air will not display sleep when on Battery Mode.

I have it set to 2 minutes and nothing. Of course the by product of this is that my batter will draing much faster if I step away from my computer for a few minutes.

I'm restarted and done all the typical things, nothing has changed since how I use the Macbook since the upgrade. Its the only thing I can think of.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Much appreciated.

    Hi there k4kev,

It sounds like you've set your computer to sleep at a certain time but the display doesnt turn off and it doesn't go to sleep. I would check out the "If your Mac doesn't go to sleep when you expect" section from the following article first:

If your Mac doesn‘t sleep or wake when expected

If the issue persists or it's all setup correctly then I would next use the section titled "If the previous steps don't work" for additional assistance. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities, take care!
