The blue square is the area the camera is setting focus and exposure on.

Tap on the area you are actually taking a picture of. For example, if you are taking a picture of a someone int eh room and the background is very bright (or dark), tap the face of the person to set the camera to that.

Those are internal reflections. aka ghosting or lens flare.


If under warranty, make an appointment to have it looked at.
