Q: How do I reinstall OS X Server 5.0.15 if I already redeemed the code?

I am running with El Capitan, 10.11.3 and redeemed OS X Server 5.1.15, installed it and ran it a long time ago.  I now try and start the server and it is stuck at "Updating Mail service" and has been stuck for a few hours now.  From what I have read, suggestions are to stop it, delete /Library/Server, download and install again.  I am unable to download it since I have "already used the redemtion code".  I am a developer and have access to El Captian 10.11.4 beta2 and Server v5.1 beta2 but am not ready for another beta environment.  Your thoughts?  Thank you in advance...

Log into the Mac App Store with the Apple ID you redeemed it into and click on the Purchases tab.

    Hi Niel -

Thank you for the reply.  I did long in to the store with my Apple ID, and my only option is to "Open" the app..  I have not stopped the "Server is being updated on this Mac.  This may tkae several minutes.  Updating Mail service" process, and have not removed the /Library/Server folder(s).  If I stop this process, remove the server files, would this allow me to redeem it again?

You need to close and delete the Server application before it can be redownloaded as described above. The code won't be redeemable again.

How would I otherwise download it if I do not have a redeem code, please?

Once it's been deleted, it'll be redownloadable from the Purchases tab. If there are any copies of it in other locations indexed by Spotlight, those need to be deleted or otherwise removed from the index; this includes unmounting images and external drives.

    Excellent!

Thank you - works for me!

Problem solved - at least downloading/installing again.  Not sure why it is stalling at the "Preparing Mail service" ... another issue.

Much appreciated, Niel - thank you.

This may be off topic (redeeming, the Purchases tab, and so on), but I have a Server stuck at "Updating Mail service", for hours now.  I've searched Support and the web for advice.  You did say "From what I have read, suggestions are to stop it" and so I wonder if you can point me to what you did read?

When I try to close Server, I get a sheet "Service configuration is in progress" and a recommendation that I wait until configuration is complete.  Did what you read say to close Server anyway?
