I want manually search for an artist. I click on the search icon and type in an artist name. I get nothing, please help. I have turned my phone on and off again and I have restarted the app. I have ran out of ideas please help.

Same problem here on iPhone and iPad. Search doesn't work for artist, album, playlist, station, etc. It does work on my own library.
Same problem here. Maybe Apple Music search is down or something
Just spent an hour with Apple Music support and the solution is simple: force restart your device. The Apple Music Dev Team has been made aware of the issue and hopefully will be resolved in 9.2.2 or 9.2.3.
Similar thing happen to me. Hasn't working since yesterday until now. Tried everything: force restart, quitting the app, all of that. How it's only happen to some user and not all? This is major issue for me.
