Q: New iMac 5k - AirPlay problems

Anyone having similar problems? My new iMac 5K with airplay will not display my iMac via Apple TVs (x2) (3rd & 4th gen) to either of my TVs in separate rooms.

I have a paid app (AirParrot) that works very well using my iMac & (3) xiPhones and a 3rd gen iPad. I have tried deleting this app and then used A/Play but as soon as an AppleTV is selected the TV screens goe black.

The OS has been re-installed, PRAM has been re-set.

Have taken up with Apple Techs but no answer has been received.

Please clarify - You took your computer to an Apple Store or an AASP, the repair techs could find nothing wrong or they have not called you with a diagnosis? Have you contacted them? Either case you are under warranty.

No - I have not taken the iMac to an Apple Tech (only recieved it on Friday last).
I have been talking via phone and using screen sharing with Applecare techs.
They have not been able to diagnose what the problem is. They believe its a problem within the software.

They should have stayed on phone with you till the issue was resolved if they thought you are having a software problem. I would have asked for a supervisor or ask to be transferred to Customer Relations.
