Q: How do i recover photos from optimized storage, original photos

I had 965 photos on photo stream, when i used optimized storage. i was only able to recover 80 photos. How do i recover the 965 original photos?

    Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.  

     

    I understand that you are experiencing an issue downloading original photos after you have selected the Optimized Storage option.  Since you are accessing a large number of photos, I would suggest making sure you are connecting to a Wi-Fi network when attempting to access your original photos.  There may be a delay in these photos downloading depending on the speed of the data network.  

     

    All of your original, full-resolution photos and videos are stored in iCloud while device-size versions are kept on your device. You can download the original photos and videos over Wi-Fi or cellular when you need them. 
    If you turn on Download Originals, iCloud Photo Library will keep your original, full-resolution photos and videos in iCloud and on your device.
