Can't add a ringtone to Tones on Mac

I converted a file into m4r. I tried to drag it into the Tones section of iTunes on my Mac and no matter how many times I did it, it did not appear. The ringtone is nowhere to be found on my phone.

I should add that when I would drag it, I would see a green circle with a plus sign inside of it pop up. Does that mean anything?

Drop the .m4r file in <Media Folder>/Automatically Add to iTunes. If the file is a valid ringtone it should be added to the tones section of the library. If iTunes rejects it then it should get moved into a Not Added folder in the Automatically Add to iTunes folder.
