Iphone 6 ios 9.2.1 wifi doesn't work

We have had issues with our iPhone's wifi capability for the past few weeks. iPhones connect to a strong signal but little to no data is transferred resulting in timeouts. All other wifi devices work properly except the iPhones.

Here are the steps I have tried thus far without success:

- reset network settings

- disabled wifi-assist

- forget network

- hard reset

- full-on restore, ~90% of 'other' files removed in the process

- renewed lease

- diagnostic run by apple employee with no errors

- updated router firmware

- messed with router settings

- tried a different DNS

- I don't run a VPN

Are there any other solutions out there?

Thanks

Hi MatthewWeekend,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear you have been having these issues with your iPhones; it sounds like you have been on the right track in your troubleshooting. Given all the troubleshooting steps you have tried and the networking issues you are still having, you may want to make sure you have your data backed up, then try restoring your iPhone(s) to factory settings and test the issues in that default condition without restoring any of your data or settings (apologies if you have already done so). You may find the information and steps outlined in the following article helpful:

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
