Tiered Heading Numbering in Pages 5.6

Hello there,


I have:


2.3 subheading A

bla bla bla


2.3.1 subsubheading a

bla bla bla


2.3.2 subheading b

bla bla bla


1. bla

2. bla

3. bla


2.3.3 <-- I'm trying to get this but what ever I do Tiered Numbers, Start from, Continue from previous, mess around with tabs, it just doesn't work.


Can anyone help please?

Hi Thomas,


The trick is to use the tab. Here's what I mean.


1. Select the 2.3.3 line.

2. Select Number and Number again in the Styles menu.

3. Select Tiered and continue from

HERE'S the weird part

4. Use the tab on your keyboard and tab twice. This will increment the numbering from 2 to 2.3 to 2.3.3.


Play around with it and you'll get the idea.
