my hard disk on my trusty old g4 imac has failed, but I don't have the original disks - what version do I need? Will it work with 10.3 or 10.4

Q: original startup disks for imac g4
A retail Mac OS X 10.3.2 through 10.4.6 DVD will work for certain, as will that model's original disks. Depending on which iMac model it is, retail 10.2 and 10.5 ones may work as well.
