How do I install the legacy Java so I can get Photoshop to run. the last upgrade of my operating system disabled my Photoshop. I downloaded Java as instructed by can't find it to install it.

I can't find the Java download to install so I can run Photoshop again. The last upgrade of my operating system disabled it.

Installing a new OS, or reinstalling the current one always removes Apple's Java 6. Installing Oracle's Java 8 (current) won't help at all. You need to reinstall Apple's Java 6.
