Feb 2, 2016 12:42 AM in response to Dj GoodLifeby chroot,★HelpfulFirst check the Purchased tab of the App Store to make sure that OS X Yosemite can be downloaded.
You can erase the startup volume then reinstall the original version of OS X that shipped with the computer by using internet recovery then upgrade to Yosemite.
You can create a bootable USB installer for Yosemite. Using the USB installer, erase the startup volume then install Yosemite.
Without a Time Machine backup, you will need to erase the hard drive before being able to revert to a previous version of the operating system.
