No audio output / stuck on digital out / no sound / red light

Hello,

I had my headphones (standard apple) plugged in last night and put Macbook to sleep with them in, before pulling them out this morning. Unfortunately since then my internal speakers have disappeared from a list of my audio outputs. Now the audio still plays in both ears when headphones are plugged in. Audio also plays when I boot up/switch on the macbook through the speakers which would suggest to me that there is no damage there. The light in the port comes on and stays on permanently only after I play music through the headphones. It doesn't switch on at start up or when headphones are plugged in without the music.

What I have tried so far:

Plugging in and out the headphones and switching the macbook on and off with them in and out.

I have tried blowing into the jack

I have tried turning the headphones both clockwise and anticlockwise in the port and moving side to side.

I have done both SMC and PRAM resets (multiple times).

I have deleted my audio preferences contents in the library folder.

(Macbook now out of warranty, and I would imagine the cost of potentially replacing logicboard is going to be more than what my macbook is worth now)
