Q: iPhone won't activate + No Cellular
Around 3 days ago, my iPhone started having no service and was always on "Searching…” so I bought a new SIM card and tried it in other phones and it worked perfectly. However, no SIM cards were working on my phone at all. I had someone look at the antenna and he assured me there was nothing wrong with the hardware.
So I decided to restore my iPhone and then back it up to see if it was a software problem. I successfully restored it. However, after it showed the Hello page, the iPhone won’t activate. It says it needs a few minutes to activate, and then it says activation servers are temporarily unavailable.
I went into recovery mode through iTunes to try and fix it but it brings up that there is a problem with my iPhone that it needs to be updated. The update fails every time I try due to Error 1671.
My iPhone is stuck on the Hello page and can’t do anything useful as of now. The only thing I can do on my phone is select the language, country, and WiFi. I can’t activate it at all.
I never jailbroke or unlocked this iPhone. What can I do? It was working fine for almost 2 years.
iPhone 5s, iOS 9.2
