Q: Help!!, after using FCPX my start drive of my MacBook Air has no space anymore.

I am an beginner in cutting in FCPX, so when I cutted my video an a notification popped up and said me that there is no more space left an the start-volumed. Before I had about 30 GB left and now there are only 250MB left. So i exporter to an other drive and deleted all the files out of FCPX and of the start-volumen i checked again but there is not that much space left. So i deleted all the render files and caches but that does't helped that much. By the way the material that I used was about 4-7 GB big/small. So now I hope you can give me some tips to get my space back... Thank you

Just to say that even 30 GB is not a lot of storage space in working with modern video formats. You definitely need a fast external drive to store your libraries and your media; Thunderbolt is best and USB3 is next best.

Render files can take up a fair amount of room, but typically, space gets eaten up by optimizing, since Pro Res is high data rate codec. If you are optimizing, see if your MBA can handle the native media and don't optimize at import.(I don't have any experience editing on a MBA, so I can't say with any certainty; you'll probably find it varies project to project.) You can always transcode selectively in  the Browser if necessary.

To delete optimized or render files, use the Delete Generated…Files command from the File dropdown.

To recover space after you move libraries from your system drive to another (external) drive, you need to trash the original instance of the library and its media that will still be present on your system drive. Before you do that, open the libraries from their new location and verify that the projects work correctly.

    Good luck.
