Can't see apps in iTunes

HI,

Need some help please.

When I connect my iPhone to iTunes and I go to 'Apps', I can't see and organize the apps on my phone.

Only options I have is by clicking on the different screens and drag apps to move them.

I would like to have the option to sort them by Kind, Name or Category, as in the dropdown just under 'Apps'.

Thank you!

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.2.1

If you updated to iTunes 12.7, managing apps is no longer supported so you will not see apps now. You have to do your app managment on your devices.

Changes in the new iTunes - Apple Support

You can still manage content manually and install an app from your iTunes library if you want to do so.

Manually manage content on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iTunes - Apple Support

File sharing still works and so does hiding and unhiding apps.

Umm, I'm not sure what you are saying here.

Yes, I am logged in into my phone with my apple ID and same on the iTunes...

That is what he means....he wants to be sure that you are using the correct Apple ID.

I Have never seen anything like this, but I would eject the phone, quit iTunes, reboot your computer, restart the phone and start all over again.

I think I answered my own question 🙂

Went to 'Account/Purchased and there's a list with all the apps purchased by me.

Now I have the option to download them into my library, but it slow as **** 🙂

I assumed that you had previously synced with iTunes and already transferred purchase before app thinning was introduced. You can no longer transfer new apps that are downloaded onto your iDevice into iTunes. You have to download them now even if they are already in the phone.

Your particular device only downloads what it needs to function rather than downloading unnecessary code and features that take up space but will not work on your device.

Now, another question: how do I organise may apps on iphone by Category?

They only get sorted like that on my iTunes library, nothing happens on iphone?

Do I need to do this manually?

Yes, you have to create folders and organize your apps that way. The phone will not organize anything apps wise on its own
