ASUS VX238H

Hello guys,

I bought an external monitor for my rMacbook Pro 2015. The model is ASUS VX238H. To my surprise however, the fonts weren't clear or as smooth as they would on my Macbook's native display. I tried playing around with LCD smoothing, contrast, closing the lid, opening the lid, different HDMI cables, using a 3rd party converter HDMI > Thunderbolt. I also tried a script that was suggested somewhere in the forums that overrides the monitor's default settings. I tried a command that lets LCD Smoothing work on external monitors as well. None of all that worked. I got different results but the fonts were always pixilated, blurry or not smooth. It definitely hurts my eyes. All the tests were done on the monitor's native resolution (1920x1080).
