Q: iMovie and iWork apps

I have a iPad Air 2 with latest iOS version.

I see I need to BUY iMovie and iWork apps, I thought you got them pre-installed or free, is that not right? Or is that on the iPhone only or on some models or iOS versions only?

They only come pre-installed on some devices, it depends upon its capacity - if you are using the same account that was originally used to activate the iPad then you should be able to download them for free (you may need to try logging out and back into the account on your iPad) : Free Apple apps for your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with iOS 8 - Apple Support.

Hi

I am using the 16GB one so it's probably not factory installed but I should be able to install for free, and not see a price on it in App store. I will try logging out and back again and then see. I am using same account as originally used to activate the iPad.
