MacBook 12" frame rate with external WQHD (2560x1440) monitor?

Different monitors have different native resolutions. I own a MacBook 12" plus the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter and I am looking for information on which resolutions are supported at which frame rates. I know that 3840 x 2160 is supported at 30 fps (only), but what about 2560x1440 (WQHD)? Does the frame rate drop from 60 to 30 instantly once the resolution is higher than 1920x1080, or is it somewhere in between, like 50 fps or so? Does it matter whether the built-in screen is set to work in parallel?

MacBook, Windows 10
