How do I look up my maximum heart rate from a previous workout?

I have an Apple Watch that I use to record indoor cycling workouts. When I go into the Activity App to look at past workouts, the only metric for Heart Rate I can see is the Average Heart Rate for that workout. I'm looking for the Max Heart Rate for that workout, and it would also be really nice to have a graph of the Heart Rate throughout the workout. How can I enable this logging in the Apple Watch Workout App?

Thanks,

Hi

If you would like to suggest that Apple considers adding new features to the built-in health and fitness apps, you can do so here:

https://www.apple.com/feedback/watch.html

Heart rate data is shared to the Health app on iPhone, which offers charts for the current day, week, month and year. The chart (which can be added to the Health app Dashboard) also states the minimum and maximum heart rate during each period.

- On your iPhone, in the Health app (red heart, white background) go to: Health Data > Vitals > Heart Rate.

- From that screen, it is also possible to view all data points for heart rate readings (Show All Data).

You may find that some third-party apps offer additional reporting features for heart rate.

Dear Jonathan UK,

Thank you very much for this response. I was not aware of the Heart Rate recording in the Vitals section of the Health App. This does give the range for that date, which is exactly what I was looking for.

Unfortunately, there's no way to chartify the values on a day in the past, which would be a nice feature. I may follow that link you provided to request it.

Thanks,

Marcus
