Can I set up a guest network if my Apple Extreme is connected to a FIOS router via ethernet and set up to "create a wireless network"? In addition, I have 3 airport expresses as "slaves" to the extreme set to "extend wireless network". If I can, how would I do it?

I saw this article, but it seems that it refers to only Apple equipment. I tried the wireless tab on the Airport Extreme in airport utility to enable Guest Network, but that didn't work. Under the Network tab, I was unsure what to do with the Router Mode, but seems it should remain off. I think that it might not work with FIOS as the main router.
