Q: how to make active screen follow mouse with two monitors

I am wondering how (if possible) to make the active screen follow the mouse when using two monitors.  For example, If I have a web browser opened up on one screen and word opened up on the other monitor, right now I have to click the screen once to make it active and then I can begin doing what it is I need to do.  I would really like to find a way that when I move my mouse over the screen, It automatically activates that screen so I can just start what I need to without clicking it first.

Mac mini (Late 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

My second monitor is currently out of commission so I can't test this but you could try disabling the "Displays have separate Spaces" setting in "System Preferences" > "Mission Control" and see if that does.  If you are not a user of multiple Spaces then this may have the desired effect and not change your workflow.
