Q: i downloaded the 64bit version of windows 10 3 times now from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO and still every time i go into bootcamp it says that i need a version of windows 7 or higher?

i downloaded the 64bit version of windows 10 3 times now from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO and still every time i go into bootcamp it says that i need a version of windows 7 or higher? clearly it is higher, i have been stuck on this for days.

Which model is your MacBook Pro?
Not all mac can use Windows 10, even it can install Windows 7 ( or 8, 8.1).

I believe that you need to have a Mac that is Late 2012 or newer. Yours is mid 2012.

1. Your ISO is being corrupted during the download.
2. From Use Windows 10 on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support, the 13-in/15-in mid-2012 Macs support W10.
