Bootcamp Macbook Keyboard Language Reverting
I have bootcamped my Macbook Pro to run windows 10. I have noticed that when i first boot up, my language is "ENG" which uses the apple keyboard layout, i.e Shift + 2 = '@'. After a while, the keyboard layout then reverts to "ENG UK" which is the windows layout. i.e. Shift + 2 = ' " '. I cannot figure what is causing the changes, it seems to happen randomly and when ever it wants to change, it isn't for example 10 mins after i change it back to ENG.
Is there a way I can permanently change this to ENG Macbook Layout?
I have checked:
- Windows Language/Keyboard Settings - Default is set to "ENG" (Macbook)
- Bootcamp Control Panel - Does not show an option for Default keyboard language
- Various Google searches and all the usual stuff.
Thanks in advance.
Scott.
Details:
Windows is my default Boot Option selected from Bootcamp Control Panel.
I am running Windows 10 Enterprise (x64). (2.7Ghz i7, 16GB RAM, 750GB Sandisk SSD, Mid 2012 Model)
I am also running Mac OS El Captain, or whatever it is called.
I barely use the Mac OS side of the laptop, just to update firmware etc. I was offered the Macbook at a price I couldn't refuse, but didn't like using Mac OS.
I am running all the latest versions, windows is fully updated, as is Mac OS.
As I am writing this, the keyboard language literally just changed half way through typing to "ENG UK".
It's a bit of a nightmare, as I am a Software Developer, it can become a nuisance changed where my '@' symbol and double quotes are whenever it fancies.
