iMac 4k and Bootcamp

Hi all,

I'm trying to install (and actually use) Windows 10 on my iMac 21.4" 4k, OS X 10.11.3, late 2015, via Bootcamp (v. 6.0.1).

After installation of windows everything seems fine. Windows Support Software is installed and Windows has full functionality - but only for a short time.

After using Windows some time (roughly 5 minutes), I get a black screen with short visualization of the cursor and then the computer shuts down and tries to restart. Windows starts the automatic repair tool and restores the system. After reboot I get my Windows but without any drivers. A brief look into a log file reveals that the drivers seems to cause this issue.

I'm thankful for any advise!

Thank you in advance for your help!

Cheers

iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

Hi opi-prohn,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with Boot Camp. If Windows in BootCamp is crashing shortly after startup and the logs indicate some sort of driver issue, you may want to try reinstalling a fresh copy of the drivers as outlined in the following article (the article is aimed at a slightly different issue, but the driver reinstall steps are more universally applicable):
