iMac dropping wifi every so often?

I've been having problems with my connection actually staying permanent during the day, if I open too many browser tabs my internet will instantly drop and then re-connect again. I've made sure my broadband is working right which it is, but since the new update (El Captain 10.11.3) I've had difficulty keeping my connection, any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂
