How do I move pictures from my camera roll to an album?

I Have created albums on my iPad. I am using the most recent update, 9.2.1. How do I move pictures from the camera roll to an album or between albums? And why, when I delete a picture from the camera roll does it also delete it from an album???

iPad, iOS 9.2.1

Open camera roll

Select photos you wish to move

Go to the options at the top of the screen (Upload, Trash, Add To)

Select Add To

Screen opens all albums

Tap the album where you want to store the pic

Same process if you want to move pics between albums.

Because camera roll is the master copy.

I just want to clarify something. If you delete a photo from the camera roll it does delete the photos every where. That is because the photos that you move to albums that you create on the device, do not actually contain copies of the photos themselves. The albums contain pointers to the photos in the CR and that allows them to appear in your iPad created albums.
