My iPod 6th gen blue looks scratched in the sides I've only had it for a month should it do that

I got my iPod touch 6th gen on December 27. It's black, i really wanted the blue one, I have a case on it, it's a survivor case. My iPod has over 15 scratches, it's all on the black and the screen. I want my dad to get me a replacement screen but he'll be really mad at me.
Be more careful. Get a case for the iPod
I do have a case for my iPod I never have it without my case and I've checked to see if it's my case that's scratching it but it's not possible for the case I have
Sometimes grit can get between the back and a case and cause fin scratches. Also, if you have grit you can scratch the iPod when putting the iPod I the case.
I Always wash my case once and week because I like to keep it clean and my case is made of really soft rubber heres the Link to what case it is
