Will the new Apple TVs play my movies from Vudu?

I've got a bunch of movies tied up in Ultraviolet / Vudu and am holding off on Apple TV until I can find out for sure if they can play on this system? Answers to this question are a couple years old so I'm looking for some recent info.

I tried running AirPlay from my iPad to my Apple TV. It was clear that VUDU and Apple are not playing nice because I got a message that digital rights management prevented me from using AirPlay with VUDU.

For some strange reason, however, you can port you Ultraviolet movies to Flickster and use AirPlay to watch them through Apple TV. So, while I was able to watch the movies, Flickster to Apple TV puts a large black border around the display space, effectively reducing your TV size by 50%. I could not figure out how to eliminate that border.

In a pinch it works, but it is frustrating that the consumer gets burned because these companies are trying to build barriers to entry.

Vudu does not support airplay. https://forum.vudu.com/showthread.php?76071-Vudu-and-Apple-TV

flixster added AirPlay support about 2 years ago. http://www.iclarified.com/40937/flixster-movies-app-gets-airplay-support

i haven't used the flixster service so I can't speak to the "black border" you refer but is could be how they designed their AirPlay support...
