Q: Text sent on iPhone but not sent on iMac

I sent a text to a non iPhone user this morning from my iPhone 5s. On my computer that same text is showing a warning that the text could not be sent. Should I resend? I don't need it to go through twice, but want to know if it went through once. No warning on phone, but never received a response...

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.2.1
