konica minolta magicolor 4690mf scanner

I have a magicolor 4690MF attached to a network and am trying to scan with it but the latest drivers from Konica Minolta do not offer the ability to scan with native El Capitan (10.11.3) applications.

I can not add the scanner (via network or USB) by following the instructions in this article: OS X El Capitan: Set up a scanner

I can not scan when following this article: OS X El Capitan: Scan images or documents

Is there a good app to use to scan, the 46090MF manual says any TWAIN scanner software will work.
