screen on watch is dark, put it on charger, voice from watch says 100% charged then says time.

Screen on watch is dark, can't get it back on. Put it on charge, voice from watch says 100% charged then announces time. Pressing either button doesn't do anything. Pressing and holding both buttons for 10+ seconds and the apple logo appears on screen, stays on for a short while, announces "screen curtain on", then says 100% charged. Did not drop or bang it, just started while on charger. Any suggestions?

Hi

VoiceOver (an accessibility feature) has been activated on your watch.

To disable VoiceOver:

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Accessibility > VoiceOver > turn off each of VoiceOver and Screen Curtain.

If the Accessibility Shortcut has been enabled and configured for VoiceOver, you can also enable and disable the feature more conveniently:

  • On your watch: quickly press the Digital Crown (the round button) three times.

To configure the Accessibility Shortcut:

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > General > Accessibility > Accessibility Shortcut (at the bottom) > select / deselect VoiceOver.
